Why We Exist

Click to see larger version. In His Steps is passionate about transforming lives spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, economically and socially. We believe that Jesus made possible the promise of eternal life and the hope of lives completely changed in every way.
For that reason, our vision is to provide opportunity for all people to experience a renewed life and to see them liberated from affliction, deprivation and oppression. To the hungry, we offer life. To the forgotten, we provide purpose. To the outcast, we introduce dignity. To the desperate, we bring hope.
We accomplish these goals in several ways: training and equipping Cambodian leaders; providing inner healing, counseling and deliverance through pastoral care; empowering the poor through micro-enterprise; offering education to orphans; strengthening the local body of Christ through church planting; and facilitating protection and rehabilitation for vulnerable and exploited women. Core Values:

In everything that we do, In His Steps is motivated by Jesus' example of love and compassion. Our core values are intended to reflect what it looks like to walk like Jesus did. As a staff, we seek to emulate these qualities to the world around us.

  • A Sacrificial Life: We want to offer wholeheartedly our time, talents and treasures.
  • Integrity: We are committed to honesty and transparency in every area of our ministry and personal walk.
  • Servant Leadership: Jesus was the greatest leader the world has ever seen, He was also the greatest servant. Just as He laid down His life, we want to lead others by laying our lives down for them.
  • Unity in Relationships: We believe in doing our part to preserve unity and peace in the body of Christ through building healthy relationships and forgiving and loving those around us.
  • Love: 1 Corinthians states that without love, all else that we accomplish is in vain. Love is what distinguishes Christianity from all other belief systems in the world. We are committed to walking in Christ-like love.
  • Faith: The Bible says that "without faith, it is impossible to please God." We seek to strengthen and build each other's faith as well as our own.
  • Compassion and Mercy: James 2:13 says "Mercy triumphs over judgment!" Our desire is to bring the hope and freedom of the Gospel by being God's hands and feet of compassion and mercy to the lost and broken.
  • Justice: Our God is one of mercy, He is also one of justice. We believe that, as His followers, we are called to stand against the injustices in our world and to be a voice for the oppressed.
